الماعون | Al-Ma'un

Small Things

  • بِسْمِ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

    In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful.

  • أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ

    1 Hast thou seen him who denies the Doctrine?

  • فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ

    2 That is he who repels the fatherless

  • وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ

    3 And encourages not the feeding of the needy.

  • فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ

    4 Then woe to the performers of duty: —

  • ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ

    5 Those who are of their duty heedless;

  • ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ

    6 Those who make show

  • وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ

    7 And refuse small things!
